Judge Hoffman was elected in November 2006 to Dallas County Criminal Court No. 9. She brings a unique background to the bench. Judge Hoffman is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She was a prosecutor in Dallas County and New York City and in both capacities developed a tough but fair reputation while she handled high level complex felony cases. Judge Hoffman also was a criminal defense attorney for four years which has enabled her to have a complete understanding of both sides of the bench.
